Has an event or person ever greatly influenced your life? Crucial events or memorable people that both have great meaning for us exist not only in our personal history but also in human history. In fact, various great men whose names we all know have changed human history. They include leaders who left great historical legacies, scientists or mathematicians who made great discoveries, inventors who changed people’s lives drastically, philosophers who tried to create a better society, etc. These big changes in history are caused not only by individuals but also by many factors that have accumulated.
Human history is changing and developing even at this moment. How about being a hero at an important moment that will come in the future?
Summary
What are some of the crucial moments that have changed world history and who are some of the great men and women involved in those moments? First, we will learn about the founder of the largest empire in history, the Mongol Empire’s Genghis Khan. How could a boy from a previously peripheral country in world history build such a great empire?
Next, we will meet Gutenberg who invented the printing press which is known as one of history’s most important inventions.
Sometimes, one person’s courage changes history. One such case is that of Rosa Parks, an African-American woman who protested against racial segregation between blacks and whites in the U.S. in the 1950s. We will check out the great changes that resulted from her courageous behavior.
