Summary
The first meeting between Mr. Tapshaw, who came to teach the class instead of the sick homeroom teacher, and our main character Jack didn’t go well.
Jack didn’t concentrate on the class and was scolded again and again. Mr. Tapshaw explained the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio with zeal, but Jack who hated math didn’t listen to the explanation well and had soccer on his brain. He didn’t realize it at that time, but he was making a big mistake.
The explanation that he missed was a crucial clue for the “interactive math challenge” that he would take part in later.
Led by Mr. Tapshaw, Jack went on a field trip to “World of Oceans” with his classmates, including Becky his twin sister, and Arnold, to take part in the “interactive math challenge”. While at “World of Oceans, the three of them got trapped when they went into a miniature village. To open the firmly closed door, they have to solve a math puzzle and enter the answer which is the password, at one of several specific times. Will they be able to solve the math puzzle to escape?
