Her mother, the queen, passed away. Soon after, the king took a new wife, who was beautiful but also very vain.
The new queen had a magic mirror which only told the truth.
She often asked the magic mirror who the fairest of them all was and was pleased by the answer that she was the fairest of them all.
One day, the magical mirror answered that Snow White was the fairest of them all, and the queen was furious...
Snow White became very popular when it was made into a Disney animation.
It is a world-famous tale that has been adapted to movies, plays, and TV shows.

There once lived a poor shoemaker and his wife in a small town.
They worked hard, but their lives became difficult because a big market opened in the neighboring town, so people went to the shoe store in it.
One day, the shoemaker and his wife had nothing but enough leather to make only one pair of shoes.
They comforted each other but could not get to sleep easily.
But the next morning, they found a pair of splendid shoes on the worktable...
The tale appeared in Grimm’s Fairy Tales in 1812. It is still loved by children all around the world.
