Karna is a tragic hero in the Mahabharata. He is the spiritual son of the Sun God and the unmarried teenage Kunti, who later became the Pandava queen. Karna grows up to be an accomplished warrior of extraordinary abilities, a gifted speaker and becomes a loyal friend of Duryodhana. He aims to kill Arjuna but dies in the Kurukshetra war. Much later he discovers that he is the older half-brother of those he is fighting against.
