Bábelstornið
Bábelstornið er fyrsta skaldsøgan á føroyskum máli. Hon kom út sum bók í 1909, men framman undan tí hevði hon staðið í Tingakrossi sum framhaldssøga undir heitinum Ættarbregi.
Bábelstornið er ein politisk ættarsøga, sum lýsir húsfólkið á tveimum gørðum ígjøgnum trý ættarlið. Eisini er skaldsøgan á sín hátt ein ævisøga um tjóðskaparrørsluna, sum veruliga kom í ljós í seinna helming av 19. øld.

"The Tower of Babel" is the first novel written in the Faroese language. The book was released in 1909, but prior to that it could be found in “Tingakrossur” as a serial story under the title “Ættarbregi”.
"The Tower of Babel" is a political family saga that depicts the households on two estates over a period of three generations. The novel can also be seen as a biography of the nationalist movement, which came to light during the second half of the nineteenth century.
