The discovery of the sarcophagus of a great Maya ruler deep within the Temple of Inscriptions at Palenque is one of the great stories of archaeology, and we can’t miss studying it at the very place in question. The bone remains found were the ultimate clue about the most important discovery in Mayan history: they were located across the tomb of K'inich Janaab' Pakal, the last Mayan ruler of Palenque.
