Eighteen-year-old Eva Yin is admitted into an ER in the San Francisco Bay Area for a serious blood infection-the souvenir of a missed shot of heroin. Barely recovered and against medical advice, she leaves the hospital for New York City only to end up homeless and face prostitution and violence.
