Classical Music from the Romantic Era: Emotional music with less structure and order
Romanticism is a style in the arts including music that originated in Europe toward the late 18th century. During the Romantic Era, not only nobles but also ordinary people had more opportunities to enjoy music thanks to the Industrial Revolution. Unlike earlier classical music which emphasized repetition and formality, classical music in the Romantic Era emphasized expressing people’s subjective feelings lyrically and freely. In general, more powerful and more magnificent music appeared in the Romantic Era thanks to the development of various musical instruments. In addition, lieder became one of the fields in classical music and titles and explanations started to be added to symphonies.
In the book, we will check out famous composers who were very active in the Romantic Era. It will be a good opportunity for you to understand classical music better so that you will be more interested in it.
