Ratan Tata was the Chairman of Tata Group from 1991 to 2012. During his 21-year tenure, he made major changes to the group and became part of Tata group’s international brands like Tetley, Chorus and Jaguar-Land-Rover. He was also the main force behind creating the cheapest car in the world, Tata Nano. Ratan Tata has been conferred with Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian honour, and is currently the chairman of Tata Trusts.
