Pandemic Guide of 2020 Virus: All you have to know about COVID-19, The history, Early Symptoms, Treatments, and Available Vaccines
COVID-19 spreads the same way as the common cold or flu -- through droplets. This new virus though is smaller and lighter than it can go airborne. This also means that it can stay in the air for longer and travel with the wind farther. Due to its tiny size, it can also pass through most fabrics and face masks, making it far more infectious than other coronaviruses.
A person infected with COVID-19 is highly contagious. When they cough or sneeze, droplets emitted transport the virus and may infect anyone it gets in contact with. Objects that an infected person touches or uses are most likely already carrying the virus, too. It can survive for hours outside the infected person’s body until it is picked up by a new host. It can then travel to the other person and enter their body through the nose, mouth, or, in recent discovery, eyes.
The theory of how COVID-19 spread was that the infected person checked into a hotel in China. The virus-charged droplets that that person released from coughing and sneezing went through the centralized air conditioning of the hotel and spread to the other rooms, infecting all the other guests who inhaled it. They then went on to travel wherever they were going and unwittingly started the spread of the disease around the world.
