Most people live by default. By this, I mean that for most people life just happens and they simply respond to what comes their way-for better or for worse. In this respect, many people feel as if they are victims of their circumstances, or other people's choices. There is another way to live! No-default living is getting a hold of Jesus' promises of a preferred future that God intends for us. This doesn't mean life will be free from problems and challenges. On the contrary; we may even get more! The difference is that No-Default Living is a way of life based on assuming ownership of my decisions-those choices that I have used to invite the Lordship of Jesus. Jesus promised a life of abundance (John 10:10); with that in mind, I can pray and ask for direction in many areas. In so doing, I increase my expectation that God will reveal His favour through my life and choices.
