Word of a fringe rebellion has been spreading, but getting recruits to sign up is proving to be a challenge, especially with Critch imprisoned in the unescapable Citadel. Cut off from their supplies and recruits, Aramis Reyne must put his trust in a mysterious new ally. Together, they devise a reckless plan for rescuing Critch and building a torrent army.
