Charles Spurgeon was a great reformed preacher in the Victorian Era whose legacy continues today. He based the sermon “Faith and Repentance Inseparable” on the passage from Mark 1:15, “Repent ye, and believe the gospel.” He uses this verse to exhort his congregation to do the same, explaining how both repentance and belief are an inseparable command from God. Spurgeon delivered this sermon in the summer of 1862, but its powerful, straightforward message holds true to this day.
