The battle of Longewala was fought in the western sector of India between Indian and Pakistani forces from the 04th to the 06th of December 1971 and was one of immense critical importance. If the Pakistan Army had captured Longewala they could turn the entire defences of the India’ 12 Infantry Division located in North East Rajasthan.
